Lawsonia
Lawsonia offers two distinctly different golf experiences, each with its own character. The Links Course, designed by William Langford and Theodore Moreau and opened in 1930, is known for its bold Golden Age architecture, featuring massive elevated greens, dramatic bunkering, and a layout that rewards strategy and creativity. The Woodlands Course winds through mature forests with rolling terrain, elevation changes, and scenic views, placing more of an emphasis on precision and shot-making. My favorite holes on the Links are 6, 7, 8, 13, 17, and 18, while on the Woodlands, I especially enjoy 3, 5, 6, 14, 16, and 18. Together, the two courses showcase everything that makes Lawsonia one of Wisconsin's premier golf destinations. Pictured below is primarily the links course.
